CASE STUDY – Infor Global Solutions

Infor Global Solutions are a company based in Farnborough, Hampshire. They are an international company specialising in bespoke business software development with offices in nearly every developed country in the world. Producing such high standard solutions to over 70,000 companies worldwide Infor demand a seamless and competent service from their suppliers in order to fulfil their client’s needs.

Infor Global Solutions became a client of SCT Mobile through the acquisition of a company called SSA Global in Frimley, Surrey in 2006. SSA had been a client of SCT Mobile since 1995 who originally started with approx 40 company mobile phones. This has now grown to over 650 mobiles due to Infor’s aggressive acquisitions throughout the software sector. In turn SCT have had to grow with Infor to enable us to offer the same quality of service but on a much larger scale. This has been proven over the past two years through the accumulation of all the mobile phones of the companies that Infor have so rapidly been buying and entails the porting & migrating of over 400 numbers from different mobile networks in the UK. This must be a synchronised process to enable the transfer to be seamless causing the least amount of disruption to the client. This involves SCT handling the logistics of not just the network transfer but also the dispatch of new hardware to varying locations throughout the UK on time to each individual user.

The UK office for Infor in Farnborough is also the headquarters for the EMEA which means that not only do SCT look after the UK side of the communications but also the international mobile requirements. As a Vodafone Premier Partner SCT were able to liaise with the highest levels at Vodafone to introduce an international account manager who specialises in creating relationships in different countries. This is achieved through various joint visits to the relevant European Infor offices which in turn enabled Infor to converge all their European mobile communication requirements through one provider and this has been vital in the retention of Infor’s business for SCT Mobile through Vodafone.

The service implemented by SCT includes monthly account reviews, bespoke tariffs to suit current usage, same day local deliveries (next day for national), annual hardware credits and loan/repair service. In addition to the company mobile phones SCT also offer and have supplied a wide range of mobile communication solutions to Infor including BlackBerry, mobile 3G data cards and an internal repeater system to boost the coverage in the Farnborough headquarters. The latter is essential in order to keep Infor’s mobile users connected to the network with good strength of signal when in the office.
